7 days of Christmas {halloween + thanksgiving}

First of all- I promise this is almost the last post of the 7 days of Christmas! Second of all, I put pumpkins in the freezer the day after Halloween- and when we took them out for our Halloween with Grampa and Gramma, they got instantly mushy and sweat all over the table :)

Anyway, Halloween was basically a bag of candy that we had saved for them, and a breakfast of biscuits and gravy and leftover hard boiled eggs (from Easter dinner, the day before)

Thanksgiving was one of the best. We celebrated on New Year's Day, which felt just like Thanksgiving, with football on and all. The food was really good (not because I was the cook..., but just the yummy combo of thanksgiving food! :))

Mom made Gifta which is to die for! You make a sauce out of fresh cranberries and sugar and add  whipped cream and crackers. We were very thankful for the Gifta! And for our special guests all the way from Canada :)

Sara, this is such a neat and special idea. Steve's mom is always so sad not to be able to celebrate the boys' birthdays and all of the other little holidays in between. This is something that would completely float her boat. Definitely going to do this the next time she is in town. Thank you so much for sharing these ideas!

I don't often comment, but I do always read and look through your amazing pictures. :)
As always, you inspire me! Love the all-holidays-at-Christmastime idea, for family! So wonderful!
