a little catch up post

Deal of the century- our little scientist found a huge crystal making kit at a yardsale - the lady gave it to him for 25 cents. It pays to take kids to yard sales- they get offered free stuff too (wait- maybe that is why we have all this JUNK in our house! Haha)

 Art projects!

We made these sandwiches...they need a whole post themselves.

Super fun- make cookies and have the kids use icing to write the state abbreviations. Got the idea here (this blog has a ton of good homeschool ideas)

The kids went rollerskating for the first time- it was adorable. They were literally crawling on their hands and knees...clinging to the walls....falling all over the place. But they persevered and could stay upright for a few minutes at a time! We are going to keep at it. I have so many good memories of rollerskating from my childhood- looks like they will too.

The weather has been GORGEOUS! Wow, thank YOU, God, for this fall beauty.

Hope you are having beautiful fall days........

Hope you get to bite into a pumpkin donut soon....

Lots of love from us and Sadie

I've learned to let the kids ask the price of items.....they usuall get for a great price that way....sometimes free. let us know when you go skating....I'd love to take the kids sometime!

Love the sandwiches. You have so much fun home schooling. I miss your posts but know that you are so busy. Happy Fall. We are having beautiful weather now. Summer was awful but fall is making up for it. God is good.

That leave is perfect- so colorful!!! Love the fabric scrap sandwiches!!! We are ice skating our hineys off but we need to hit the roller rink too! Maybe on a day when Rich can watch those that are unable to skate?

Love the "sandwiches" - great idea! And I think a pumpkin donut is a good solution to a rainy day!
