happy June!

Hello friends and family! What a great summer this is starting out to be. I got to help my dear friend decorate for the teen formal at our church. We got to use paper lanterns...and....

 Chalkboard paint-  {what's not to love about that combo?!}

Our last day of school party extravaganza was a trip to a state park with hours to play in the creek. The kids were in heaven. What was so great about this place was the complete canopy of trees and shade. The day was very hot, but cool in the forest. What a beautiful day.

My first ever ribbon chandelier! I saw this idea on pinterest, and made one using some ribbon and torn fabric strips. You just glue these to a hoop and hang!

Lots of Settlers being played around here. All 3 kids have caught the bug...and Sadie is trying to go against all odds and hold those cards in her paws so she can join the family game nite :)

OK, so the kids and I went yard sale-ing and saw this couch. I totally think it has potential. In fact, I think it would fit right in at my house. What do you think? I have a friend who told me it was the ugliest thing she ever saw.....
:)
 Freshly painted toes.

This is an almost 37 year old face! The reason I love June- it's birthday month!!

Saturday was art fair day in our little downtown and my dear talented Miss Betty had a booth. So happy with my purchase.

Not long ago we had a date night...we ate, we talked, we ate, we tested perfumes..this was called In Love. Loved the name.

My second ribbon chandelier! So fun to make.

Our friends sang this song in church today. I have heard it many times before, but today it just hit me and made me cry. I could go on and on about it, but really I cannot say it any better than the song says it- this is exactly how I feel and what I am learning:

GRACE
by Laura Story

My heart is so proud. My mind is so unfocused.
I see the things You do through me as great things I have done. And now You gently break me, then lovingly You take me and hold me as my father and mold me as my maker.

Chorus:
I ask you: "How many times will you pick me up, when I keep on letting you down?
And each time I will fall short of Your glory, how far will forgiveness abound?"
And you answer: " My child, I love you.
And as long as you're seeking My face, You'll walk in the pow'r of My daily sufficient grace."

At times I may grow weak and feel a bit discouraged, knowing that someone, somewhere could do a better job. For who am I to serve You?I know I don't deserve You. And that's the part that burns in my heart and keeps me hanging on.

Chorus*
I ask you: "How many times will you pick me up, when I keep on letting you down?
And each time I will fall short of Your glory, how far will forgiveness abounds?"
And you answer: " My child, I love you.
And as long as you're seeking My face, You'll walk in the pow'r of My daily sufficient grace."
You are so patient with me, Lord.
As I walk with You, I'm learning what Your grace really means. The price that I could never pay was paid at Calvary. So, instead of trying to repay You, I'm learning to simply obey You
by giving up my life to you For all that You've given to me.

Chorus:
I ask you: "How many times will you pick me up, when I keep on letting you down?
And each time I will fall short of Your glory, how far will forgiveness abounds?"
And you answer: " My child, I love you.
And as long as you're seeking My face, You'll walk in the pow'r of My daily sufficient grace."
