My friend Lauren is having a baby any day now (so many babies around here!!!!) We had a shower for her at church. A shower for a little girl baby is sooo fun...the bows, the pink, the polka dots. Lauren is having a ladybug theme in the nursery....how cute. Oh my goodness- we had a bug theme in our first baby boy's room...baby blue, lime green, red, dragon flies, stripes, bugs. (brings back so many memories). All that said - I don't know why I didn't make a ladybug cheese ball.
This cheese ball recipe is so versatile. You can make it into a snowman for winter. We have made an apple shape for back to school (roll in paprika to make it red, stick a pretzel rod in for stem and a bay leaf... for the leaf!)
Rattle Cheese Ball
2 pkg cream cheese (8 oz each)
1 envelope ranch dressing powder
1 and a half c. shredded sharp cheddar
soften cream cheese, beat with a mixer. Add ranch, add cheddar, mix well. Separate into 2 balls- one bigger/one smaller. Roll balls in Parmesan. Attach with a thick pretzel rod. Tie on a bow. Serve with crackers and pretzels.
