Friday night was a fall party at our church. We dropped the kids and ran! The kids had a fabulous time!!!! Many thanks to those who put so much work into the night.
Dave and I ate at TGIFridays. Dave got fried green beans for the first time. Have you ever had them- they are so yummy.
We are finding the NEED to get in those dates. It may be hard to fit in, and costly, but SO worth it for the sanity of our marriage.
Saturday Dave made a wish of mine come true- he made a fire pit for our back yard!!!!!!!!!! Yay! I am so ecstatic. We had a fun time sitting around the fire, poking it with sticks, and roasting marshmallows.
What is it about a fire? Cozy, warm, crackling. Our backyard was a happy place. Whenever we find an activity that us parents love as much as the kids- we embrace it wholeheartedly.
Ok, then Sunday was just an awesome day all around. Church was such a blessing. Then we had an afternoon communion service with testimonies from several church members about their salvation- just a great service of thankfulness to the Lord for what He did for us on the cross.
Later on we got to meet up with friends and trick or treat and eat! What fun. Look what I found at Goodwill to wear................
Twister!!!!!!!!!! How can I find more excuses to wear this all year long?
Today would be a real downer after such a fun weekend- except that- to save the day, Dave's parents are coming back through and will stay with us for a few nights. So when our 4 year old woke up with a frown and said, "today is not Halloween anymore, is it????" I was able to say, no but Granna and Pop Pop are coming! Thanks to God for our many, many blessings. We certainly do not deserve it.
