Have you ever been to Ikea? It is great fun. The prices are good (sometimes great- this fabric was $1.99 yard), the designs are interesting, the food is good and cheap (cinnamon rolls for a dollar, hot dogs are .50 cents), all in all a fun shopping experience (for me anyway! Dave and the kids were very patient)

you get to cut your own fabric. Mom, you know I loved this :) I used to play fabric store for hours when I was little.

Dave and his mom in the cafeteria

More fabric cutting. I don't get out much..

I had to use that fabric as soon as I could. So (sew..) a fun little dishtowel project was born. These will be nice to give away for Christmas.

And a flower.

The wrapping paper at Ikea made me swoon.....I am going to paper the walls with it :) (you are not sure if I am kidding, are you?!)

Love the flower dish towel!! I didn't know Ikea had fabric- how cool.
I've been to Ikea, but didn't check out the fabric. Looks like I need to check that AND the wrapping paper. OH, and I LOVE your dishtowls. Yet another idea of yours I will probably steal! = )
=)
An IKEA is coming to Denver next December- I can HARDLY wait!!!
IKEA is my ALL TIME FAVORITE store. all I asked for, for Christmas was gift -cards to there:) lol!!!
I love Ikea, ours is about an hour and something away, so we don't get there as often as we'd like. I wish I had the time to get there soon though, Jackson fell in love with a stuffed cat a friend of ours owns, and it's from Ikea, it sure would make a nice Christmas gift, and they don't ship stuffed animals :( Hmmm, now seeing your post I really want to make the trip, I wonder if I can convince Andy to go.
Love your dishtowels!!!!! We don't even have an IKEA in this state! Boo hoo! (I'd spend way too much anyway...but I'll still shed a tear or two b/c I love everything IKEA!!!!!)
I just went for the first time to that one in Charlotte a couple of weeks ago. I had the yummo Swedish meatballs. I cannot believe I didn't look at the fabric or see that cute wrapping paper! I did get two of those dish towels, though. Wish I'd gotten way more because I love them!
How far is that Ikea from you?
There's one just 15 min from my parents. I love that store, although I never realized there was fabric. How fun that you can cut your own! Love your creations!! I told Chad I was toying with the idea (after seeing your fun) of getting my machine back out. He about passed out!
It's posts like this that make me adore both you and your blog so much. I love the fabric at Ikea, so much fun - and seeing that huge smile on your face while cutting it, just made my day! :D
I LOVE IKEA!! Yeah! I am waiting with you, Chastity, on the one coming to DENVER! :)
Hello Sweet Sarah! I've been away too long...look what you've been up to!!! I also love Ikea...we are trying to get a trip to Chicago planned....LOVE that store...so much fun! I've gotta find me some of that fabric! The dish towels are too cute!!! Good job!!!
I have never been to Ikea but friends tell me about it all the time. Unfortunately, their website stinks:( I love that you match the fabric you are cutting:) And that wrapping paper is GORGEOUS. And the tea towels....Awesome. You are so talented!

Your fabric is so fun. We don't have an Ikea here and I have never been in one, but one day it will happen.

I love the fact that I can totally see you wallpapering your walls with the wrapping paper. :) Love the fabric too.
That is so not fair... I never get to cut out my own fabric... and you KNOW how much I LOVE fabric!!!!! I might have to make a trip to Ikea!
Sew cute! The dish towels, that is! Do you have an Ikea? Must not because you've never taken me there. Did they have anything other than pok-a-dots? I'm looking for plaids or checks.
We love IKEA too! Mostly we go to eat and then look a little. Eddy loves to play on the toys;-) I just found a comment from you on my blog. Comment moderation was on and I didn't know it--arg! Thanks for stopping by;-)
Feltastic. Your home is like Disneyland--the happiest place on earth!
Love, love, love your dish towels! I have a weakness for dish towels, or anything textile related for that matter.
