Happy Monday!

A trip to a book store a few weeks ago. There is nothing more relaxing than a browse through a book store. Check out the rainbow- cute!

Can you believe we did not have a copy of the Cat in the Hat?! We had to fix that- and yes, it was a happy coincidence that she matched the book :)

I won Steph's giveaway!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Please don't be tooooo jealous. I am so happy. So happy. I cannot even describe to you all the wonderful things in this bag. Thanks, Steph!

My boys were excited about the giveaway too and snatched up the tan fabric for some capes for their lego men.

This is the life....swim in the pool, watch the deer in the yard- can you see it? She was so funny, just stood there eating some mushrooms, watching the kids in the pool.

I have been sick for a week now. ((But today I woke up better than I have for a week- Thank You, Lord!!! )) And it has given me a new appreciation for my husband in a few ways; first of all, he gets this bronchial thing every year. I have never (that I can remember) had a cold go to my chest. Now I can sympathize with him because it is a little scary. Especially for someone as hypochondriacal like me :) I layed awake last night so I could make sure my breathing was going well. I am sure I am fine, don't worry about me- I get overly dramatic when I (or the kids) are sick.

Seven years ago I had meningitis. Obviously the non- fatal kind- I can never remember if it was viral or bacterial- (I think viral). Anyway- I was laying in the hospital telling Dave that I didn't want to die and leave him, but that I was ready if it was my time to go. Poor guy!

So this time, since it has lasted a week, I am seeing how great my husband is, how wonderful he is to me and the kids. How he helps out in every way that he can. I am so blessed to have Dave. He becomes dearer and dearer every day. And not just because of what he does for me- but for who he is. He is a gentle soul who loves God and wants to serve and take care of his family.

Thank you, Darlin' for putting up with me. For loving our family and being here for us. I cannot even tell you how much I love you. I am so thankful that you are mine. And I promise that the next time you get bronchitis; I will have a lot more sympathy for you :) :)

And- to make things even better- Mom Mincy is with us for a few days. She took us to Goodwill today- a little retail therapy- can't wait to show you my "new" ruffle purse! And tonight she is taking us to.......................Sweet Tomatoes :) :) Life doesn't get much better than that!

Happy Monday --especially to those of you who started school today- that will be us next Monday.

Can I just tell you THANK YOU for still shopping in book stores? I still shop in them too, hee hee. :) One day your kiddos will tell their children or grandchildren about the wonderful place where you could look at books before you bought them, and it was called a bookstore. :)

So glad you are feeling better! I have had bronchitis only once, hope to never get it again. It sure made me feel for my sister who seems to get it every year.
Enjoy your visit from your mother-in-law.

So funny. Today I thought wonder where Sara is? Really I did. I haven't been well for a week so I know how you feel. I am so amazed with my Hubby as well and plan to post about it. We have lots of deer in our yard as well. They will eat while the kids play. Pretty tame. Hope your week goes well and I hope you feel better. Summer is not the time to get sick.

I was SO glad to see your post, 'cause then I knew you were at least feeling a little better! I offered to bring y'all a meal last Wed night, and Dave said he had everything under control and had been to the grocery store. So I laughed and asked him if he had bought sweetened cereal for everyone. I don't think he quite knew how to take that, but he finally laughed and said, No, I got chicken nuggets this time.Glad you're well!
