how to have the most messy day possible

take some koolaid (or in our house mixade....we shop at Aldi)

Add half cup of water to each packet to make a sweet smelling paint

mix each color in a little bowl.....

allow 3 kids to paint...

then decide that you may as well make those cinnamon rolls now since the kitchen is already dirty.....

little hands like to help.....

...especially when it has to do with lots of flour

little mouths (??) also like to eat the finished product....

"Mom, I adore this day"

I still can't decided if doing all the messy stuff on one day was a good idea or a bad idea..........

Yum-o! Your rolls look delish! Great idea with the kool-aid paint! We are sooo trying that this summer...outside...and I know that the smells will make us hungry, so I guess I'll have to have some yummy treats handy!

What's a day without food & paint strewn about the house?! My house is littered with crayons, library books, sippy cups -- and I thank God for blessing me with these reminders that I have a healthy, loving child.

So when I see such things as "making 'these' cinnamon rolls with 3 children, I believe that if I click the link it will take me to a super easy non-made-from-scratch recipe for cinnamon rolls that would be a cinch to make with children!! HAHA! Boy was I wrong! Kudos on taking on that major cooking endeavor mess or no mess! I bet they were OUTSTANDING.

Last night I was remembering how I wished I was your neighbor so I could tag along on all your funness. :)

I know that recipe makes a lot of cinnamon rolls. Just curious...did you guys eat all of them, freeze some, or give some away? Also, just in case you were wondering, they also do fine in rectangular pans, although baking them in round ones, as Ree did, is a cool look. :)

Those cinnamon rolls are crazy good aren't they? My kids love to help make them but not help clean up. Need to work that into homeschooling sometime!
