purple polka-dot closet makeover

When our 4 year old little miss first saw it she said, "OH MY WORD! It is so purple-ish!"

Then she said, "What in the world?!?!?! You didn't paint the ceiling!?!" (can't wait to see her house when she grows up, colorful ceilings and all)

I am so happy with it. The room looks bigger, it feels much more organized, the toys are easier to get and put back, and it allows us to enjoy all of the cuteness of the clothes even when she is not wearing them.

Purple polka dotted closet. You've reached new heights. I LOVE IT! The epitome of a cheerful day. Even the doorframe got made over.

Look how organized everything is! Your little labeled bins are a great idea. She now has incentive to keep it neat as a pin. And her colorful wardrobe completes the decor! Art on hangers! :-)

I'm super curious about that fabulous red polka dotted quilt in her closet. I'm also crazy about your red library shelf. The perfect size for a four year old.

I'm once again inspired by Sara. Now I'm off to wonder how I could possibly get the closets in my house to look that neat.

Oh my gosh! I love it! And the rainbow of clothes is adorable too! This reminds me of my daughter's armoire. I started painting the inside of the upper cupboards many many years ago. There were grand plans of shades of purple. I'll have to show her this. She may no longer want purple, but I think she'll love this!

It's perfect!!! It looks so cute! I may have to try painting my girls' closets now! We took the doors off b/c they were the folding type and I didn't want them to pinch their fingers but painting the closet would add so much to their rooms! Thanks for the inspiration : )

Very cute, Sara! I just wonder what prospective buyers would think if you ever decided to sell. They would probably come in and paint everything off-white. Ugh! I think this all started with the constant pounding nails all over your bedroom walls when you were young!

Now THAT is adorable! Any girl would go ga-ga over this! I'm also loving your window treatments for her room. Cute, cute, cute! Great job, Sara!

Very cool! When my daughter was that age, she didn't have closet doors either...wish I had thought of this!

I love the closet. So cute. How do you get the dots to be so perfect. I have been trying to figure out if you use stencils or what.
I love looking at all your color. We had our house on the market and it is soon to go on again. I am so tired of being neutral and keeping it de-personalized. Anyway, thanks for letting me live in your color.

I can relate to your Mom's comment -- Sarah's bedroom is the only one we haven't done anything to since she left home -- there are nail holes all over! But look at you girls now! Amazing! Can I hire you to do custom closets at our new house?

Your daughter always makes us laugh! I can just picture her wide eyes as she says "OH my word!" :) And what where you thinking to not paint the ceiling?

Your home is so beautiful and colorful! Your kiddos are lucky! :0) I just have to say, we have three girls sharing a closet only a tiny bit bigger than that one. :0) That's very interesting. :0)

(We have no dresser by the way, just shelves in the closet...everything has to fit!)

Love love love!!
(and thanks so much for including the before and after. I'm looking at only "before" closets right now, and I needed some hope.)

I have a thing for polka dots, anywhere and everywhere.
