chalkboard paint all around the house....my *slight* addiction

a chalkboard box!

Spring cleaning! Re-organized the pantry - the chalkboard wall is a great border...

Flowers in the bathroom! These flowers are now sporting the 9 addition family- don't have a photo of that - altho, the numbers are all smudged- guess the kids want something new.

more reminders in the kids' bathroom

Scripture verses are always there to inspire and remind us of God and His Words to us

A great way to greet people to your home....

Look! A chalkboard wall back there- nice contrast

Always a beautiful backdrop

Happy Thanksgiving never looked so happy....

and cozy

Every teacher needs a blackboard

Chalkboard on the mantle- so many possibilities!

Please take my poll & leave a comment to tell me what color you think we should paint our kitchen cabinets....
green (like the pantry)
coral
wheat (a deeper, mellow yellow)
or other (I got some oranges and rainbow votes in my family. Even I know that rainbow would not work.....)

The Nester is having a chalkboard link party- check out the great ideas.

My Vote is DOn't paint the cabinets! They will never clean up as nice as wood ones. I have 4 kids 6-2 so I clean mine lots:) But I know YOu are longing to paint them so I suggest you take a door at a time and do whatever inspires you that day. I think a bright color for the face boards would bring it all together too. In the end it will be Great! I am a big fan of your work so can't wait to see how it turns out.

Your home is so fun! I'm in love with your creativity and style! I'm a green girl, but coral is so festive! Perhaps some chalkboard paint for the inside panels...then you can write what's inside! :) (And I would sooo label a "Mommy's Secret Candy Stash--Keep Out" drawer! Ha!)

White?? Ok, I know so not you--what about white or black edges with different colors in the middles?

I love the beautiful colors in your house! It's like you are living in a Mary Engelbreit illustration! My in progress studio is going to have a Mary theme. I will have to post pictures when I am finished.

I vote for coral.

I think you should paint the frames or the doors with the green from the pantry or whichever color you like best, then paint the center panels with black chalkboard paint!!!

I am personally fond of the green you have going. However, I think the orange would look wonderful too. Thanks for sharing your inspiring style!

Either Red or torquosie with black knobs. Or white drawers and around each door and the center of each door could be either chalkboard paint or decopage :) I know, I'm feeding your addiction, hahahaha

You have a wonderful, colorful, happy home and thanks for sharing it as I needed a pick me up today. And your house certainly lifted my spirits..thanks.

I love all the scrapbook paper on the bottom of the walls ( that is what it is right?)

And after looking at all the pictures you seem to have great red pops here and there- what about doing the cabinets red?
I do think they need some color as they just dont' sing like the rest of your house.

If not turquoise (my favorite with red and yellow) then green.

Your house just makes me SMILE!

That's so funny that you posted something about your walls because I was just thinking about your blog!I was thinking about how I love that idea and that I may paint my garage door that leads into the kitchen with chalkboard paint! Inspired by your blog!!

Green sounds fun!!

I love how you decorate your house with WORDS. Written language has such a power to edify and encourage and inspire. And you are the queen of turning words into art!

I have some old sticky notes hanging around my house that should have come down ages ago. Does that count as decorating with words??

I have to vote for wheat. I think it will add warmth and color but provide a neutral background for the other colors in your kitchen. I also think it would be fun to paint a few of the inside cabinet panels with chalkboard paint. Ever heard of it? It is great fun. :) Ha!

I came here to find this post so I could show my daughter and hubs. We're going to do Han's bedroom in black and white and I'd been planning to do just white walls. But I love wainscoting so I thought we'd add that and then paint the top part of the walls with chalkboard paint. That way, she could draw and write all over her room. How cool would that be?? Sadly, hubs says it's not a good idea because we have textured walls. :-(

I love all of yours though!! Hope you have a great weekend.
