lego party!!! (plus a major cake wreck)

lego cake+lego candy+lego store+lego toys=happy 7 year old

There's a party in the house....come on in....

redgreenyellowblue!
What's not to love!!?!

legotree

here it is: the legocake!!!!! If you need to see what it is supposed to look like- click here. I have no idea how they got their cake to look so good....maybe if we put candles on it.....

that's a little better....the 7 year old sort of patted me on the back and said he liked it :)

legoshirt! Much, much easier than a lego cake.....just iron fabric to heat n' bond- cut into desired shapes - iron to shirt and then stitch in place (and he liked it! You never know...it will probably be only a few more years that he will wear a cute shirt made by mom).

legocandy! This stuff was a hit! Fun and yummy too.

"Go ahead, kids, you can play with your food now."

Time to relax- the next Birthday party is not for 27 days...................................

(I am linking up to Kimba's DIY party- we did this all by our self and you can tell :) :)

your cake is cracking me up - I love it!! I did oneof these a couple years ago and it was much easier than the thomas the tank engine one i did that same year!!! those fancy cakes will never be done in this house again - unless they do them themselves!!!

You did such a good job! I made that cake today too and it took me about 2-3 hours in total. And, I didn't have favors or streamers or a party or anything...wow, you impress me :)))

Our next birthday is July. Whew, I couldn't handle one in another month.

Great job!!! I had no idea there was LEGO candy! I'm going to try this theme for my son's 5th b-day next month - he is OBSESSED with legos. Thanks for the great ideas :)

Love it! We got Lego candy for Elijah's birthday, but I wasn't brave enough to make a lego cake. Mine would have looked much worse than yours! Great Job!

Love it! I have two boys that would be ultra impressed by your lego party skills. They are 10 and 12 and still very much into Lego fever! Looks like the day can go down as an official success in your books.

I love SEVEN. It is a great age, and certainly something to celebrate! :) When he outgrows that shirt you should cut out the words and use it in a quilt (or on the back of one). That would make for a fun memory when he is older.

Can't wait to see how you go all out for the next birthday party!

We did a LEGO party last October, and it was a big hit! I had our cake professionally made, and the baker did a GREAT job on it. I never could have done as well as she -- or YOU -- did! Looks like so much fun at your house!

I wanted to make a robot cake for Jackson's 2nd birthday party next month, so I made one recently to try it and lets just say I will be ordering his cake! At least I can tell what your cake is suppose to be...hahaha Happy Birthday Lego Boy!!!!

Looks like great fun! My "baby" will be 7 in a couple weeks and he's having a Lego party, too. Wish we had a Lego store closer to us, but we'll make do :)

Happy Birthday! Looks like a terrific party for Mr. W! I bet the cake was delicious even if it didn't look exactly like what you imagined!

Planning a LEGO party for my little guy who is turning 6. Thanks for the idea. I've seen those cakes and NEVER figured I'd be able to make it work, even though they make it look simple. I'm not even going to try! Looks like it was fun.
