chalkboard paint in the...................

....kids' bathroom! Now I feel just rotten that I have not done anything to the boys' room yet- as most of you obviously think that is where I should be working :) :) But, I only had half a quart of chalkboard paint left--just enough for some flowers. I cannot wait to write on the flowers- verses....math facts...."be kind".... anything I want them to memorize can be written on the flowers!

They sit on the pot and stare at this wall everyday- why not take advantage of this time?! Just like in Cheaper By the Dozen (the book), when the kids went to the bathroom they had to listen to the French lessons on the record player.

Thanks for playing my little guessing game- and I promise, I will do something to the boys' room soon! I just don't know what yet...............

Those are cute.
I wonder if painting on the windows with chalkboard paint would work....

That is a great idea for memorizing things. I have used clear page protectors in the past and would just switch out the pages of what I needed to memorize, but this is too cute!

I have a boy's bathroom that is waiting for your inspiration (HAHA). I just have no idea where to go with it, so maybe you will prompt my own motivation/creative channels.

Wonderful idea!!! You could even put half-pots (http://www.acmoore.com/p-32079-paper-mache-half-flower-pot-4.aspx) at the bottom, to hold extra little things.
Your blog always brightens my day, when I need it most.
Thank you again for the condolences.

That is so cute! Have you ever used magnetic paint. That would be cool in the boys room. Then they can hang anything on the wall.

Remind me to always go with my first guess!!!! haha
I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE these flowers! Will the kids write on the chalk board centers? Good place to write reminders, don't forget to wash your hands, or brush your teeth. So cute! This makes me want to come up with a fun idea with chalkboard paint for Jackson's room. :)

Speaking of the boys' room, check this out. http://flowerpatchfarmgirl.blogspot.com/
Really cute ideas: lockers and gym type containers! Let me know when you decide on colors and I will start quilts...after the quilt I need to get back to now.

Sara -
I love your blog...just was going to say, we have a 1/2 bath off our kitchen that is super tiny. When you sit on the toilet you are inches away from the door. We painted the whole back of the door and door jam with chalkboard paint. It's awesome! We love it. We always make it a job to clean it and add new artwork when we are getting the house cleaned up for guests for a party or holiday celebrations. Our guests love to add their own personal touch to our door too! :)

Love the chalk flowers!!!! And we have the D'aulaire books. They are part of a history curriculum that we LOVE- Beautiful Feet. You would like it a LOT if you ever decide to try something different:)

I think if I would be much more excited about brushing my teeth at night if I had a cool bathroom like that!

Neat! I would rather have "be kind" then math facts....:)I've already memorized most of them... is that a good excuse? I hope so!
