Steph's Stars

Aren't they adorable??!?!?! I wanted to rush straight up stairs and pull out all of my fabric scraps and make 100 stars! But then I remembered that each time I go to use the sewing machine I come away with it jammed and me crying......

Maybe I can just print out pictures of these stars and hang them on our tree.........?! Or-- paper-- surely there is a patchwork paper star idea out there somewhere.

Good job, Stephanie! (see them at her blog; Jonquils and Ladybugs)

Thanks again for sharing this Sara. :) You should make a paper patchwork version, I'd share them on my blog! Go for it, I'd love to see what you come up with!!

Love that idea! I just "learned" how to sew while my parents were here for thanksgiving. So far I've only made a curtain and a very easy pillow. Not sure I'm up to this yet, but it sure looks fun!

You need to make paper collage stars! Trace a cookie cutter onto a cereal box and go to town. With your colors and patterns they will be magical!

I bet you could hot glue them ;) My machine gave me fits so I gave it away. All of my projects now involve some combination of hot glue, staples, and safety pins >:o

Love those!!
Sara, you could hand sew some small ones while you're in the car.
Sounds like you need a new sewing machine, or a workover. It's so worth it. I LOVE to sew. :-D
And, man, I know you would create fabric masterpieces.

Have you had your machine oiled lately? Mine kept jamming up, too & a good cleaning made it good as new!

Cute stars! You've probably already made some!!

Sara, try brown paper bags. Cut out the star shapes and glue side or handstitch leaving a little gap, fill with filler (filler fiber? you know the pillow insides) then close completely and paint. These will make for wonderful canvases for you!
I believe I saw them on Michael's web site when I voted for your advent tree...which should have won by the way!
