Love is Patient, Love is Kind....Giveaway

The fall color has been beautiful this week! Wow- God! You are the Ultimate Artist!

Nice enough for a good ole rousing game of croquet....

Here we are....if we are sitting, she wants to be in our laps. Sweet dog!

Hope you are having a great Tuesday.....

I have a giveaway for you- just for fun....and I am trying to clean out my art room and regain some order. Here is an original painting for you to win. It is an 11x14 canvas- sides are painted black so you can hang directly on the wall. It is a great reminder of God's love and the love that we are supposed to show to others.

If you would like to win this piece of art - just leave a comment telling me what you would choose if you were to order a custom painting done by me....anything- quote or verse, or color scheme, etc. I will pick a name in a few days.

If I had you do a painting for my living room, it would be consist of blues & beiges, with perhaps a smidgeon green & red thrown in for good measure... Or Red & White... or white & brown, or ...do you see why I haven't asked you to paint anything, yet?

I'm first!
I would choose Psalm 46:10 or The first part of the song "you are my sunshine" for my first grandbaby. I always sang that song to my daughters to get them to go to sleep.
I hope I win!!

Wow, Sara, God is talking to me loudly everywhere I turn. I NEED "Love is patient, Love is kind..." Rather, my kids need me to have it. If I could commission you for another piece, it would be just that and I would hang it right over my desk in my new gold office.

How exciting!! I would love to win one of your original paintings! I been planning on ordering one when I get the extra money!

I love all of your inspiring paintings, my first one for myself would be either the "tree" one or Proverbs 3:5-6 "Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths." in purples, greens, black & white!

Thanks for this awesome giveaway and your inspiring blog!

"It is a sure mark of grace to desire more."

I'm linking to your blog from Kristie's and my blog!

Sara,
I would choose from Jeremiah 29:11. "For I know the plans I have for you" declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you plans to give you hope and a future" in soft blues, browns and cream. It's hard to choose just one though!

Oh, I have sooo been dreaming of an origanl painting by you. We just moved to a new house and I want it to go over our bed. With these Lyrics to a song by Steve Holy. "Good morning beautiful
How was your night
Mine was wonderful
With you by my side
And when I open my eyes
And see your sweet face
It's a good morning beautiful day"

I wish I had the money to make that come true!

I love this one!!! Please pick me...please!!! I really love the tree one you make that has the names of the family on the trunk and the last name on the roots and then the verse "As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord."
I am also a huge fan of Philippians 1:21 and the Proverb that says, "A fool gives full vent to his anger but a wise man keeps himself under control"
I need that one on my walls!! :)

Hi!! Thank you for the fun giveaway opportunity! Maybe some of your Vegas luck will rub off on me! ;)

The next painting I commission from you will probably be Psalm 119:9 ("How can a young man keep his way pure? By keeping it according to Your word." NAS) for Trey's room which is burgundy, navy and golden yellow... Those colors don't really sound so great for a toddler room I guess, but they work nicely for me and match a quilt you might remember from his room... I'll send you a pic with the colors when my budget lets me order. :) Love ya!

This painting and verse are perfect! I love it and would love to win it...and put it in our bathroom downstairs that is black and white :) But I also love your "pleasant words are a honeycomb..." painting because it's a good reminder for me (and my kids) :) You rock!

I'd choose (for the kitchen) Jeremiah 15:16-- "Your words were found, and I ate them, and Your words became to me a joy and the delight of my heart, for I am called by Your name, O LORD, God of hosts".

Kind of long, I know... but I love it. And it's so fitting for a kitchen. Beautiful work, Sara. I love your creative use of God's Word in the home!

I found your site through Fairies and Firecrackers. Boy, do you have some talent. Looking at your art makes me happy :)

If I were going to order a custom piece, it would be this saying:

Life is not about how high you climb or how far you reach; it's about how well you bounce.

In happy, bouncy colors, of course!

Empty Nest Full Life said...

I would love the verser"I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." I need to constantly be reminded that it is His strength and not my own. Bright and cheery colors. Jackie

Megan Walker said...

oooooooh, I hope I'm not too late! Gosh Sara, how generous of you! I love that piece! Everything about it!

If I were to request a piece, it would probably be my favorite scripture:

"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn of me, for I am meek and lowly in heart; and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
-Matthew 11:28-30.

And of course I'd need you to make it colorful :)
