it's the simple things

We took the kids to World Market the other night - fun and inspiring to see art & goods from around the world (and made in China). I get all inspired when I see the colors & patterns. We all picked out our favorite paintings and got our pictures taken. Fun & free!

What do you do that is fun and free and gets you out of the house?

I think I like the candy picture the best.

Tonight's free family night: a picnic at the park. The kids love it, I don't really care how much they eat/don't eat because we're just having fun, and there is no mess to clean up (at least not like at home). Oh, and they get REALLY tired!!!

Your husband is such a good sport. I think he likes the camera.

Ellie & I like to walk around Ikea and go to the library. She loves to play in the little bedrooms that are set up at Ikea -- the bad thing is the tantrum when it's time to leave. ;)

it does look like fun! we like to go to museums that are free or cost very little. we also like to browse street fairs and flea markets. i set a $10 limit for what i'm going to buy so it is pretty cheap as well.

Sara, Sara, Sara...... I could literally LIVE at World Market! LOL! Gosh do I love that place! (in fact, that's where I get my sugar-free vanilla syrup for my diet Coke! LOL!) Isn't it the greatest? I get inspired there too!

We love to play games. Board games, card games, etc. Now that all our kids are older its fun because we can all play the same game - when some were still little it was much harder. But no matter WHAT we play, I have to admit that at some point it always turns into a big brawl and cards or game pieces go flying... the nature of brothers I guess! LOL!

i love your idea of hanging out at world market....that place is just plain fun!! we're lucky to live very close to the beach, so we love to pack up a simple dinner, grab the lawn chairs and head on over to watch the waves hit the shore! :)

Oh, so neat!! We have a Love Out Loud Music/ Art Show coming up, and I can't wait!!!!

We get out of the house and go hiking all the time, at a nearby trail and waterfall. The library is another favorite. :-)
