Found this newspaper leaf garland idea at Life with Little ones. The kids enjoyed making it, I enjoyed hanging it.

Do you notice anything different about the mantle? The chalkboard paint, perhaps? When it dries I can write on it! (yes, I know I am addicted to chalkboard paint....)

Pumpkin Cake
2 c. flour
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 t. baking pwdr
2 t. cinnamon
1 t. baking soda
1/4 t. salt
4 beaten eggs
1 16.oz can pumpkin
1 c. oil

mix dry ingr. together- then add the rest...bake at 350 for 25 min. in a 9x13 ungreased pan.
Comfort food!

You might want to seek out chalk board paint support group!

By the way, can I get your help? Go to my blog. I have a new house we are closing on Friday! I am so excited. But , the outside is so plain. What color do you think I should paint it to go with the light brick color. Thanks,

Caleb and I bought the pumpkin cake ingredients this morning. We will be baking it when he gets up from his nap. If I get gestational diabetes this time around (I did with Caleb), I'm going to have to stop reading your blog :)
