M is for......

Thanks for the advice on what to paint on the nursery walls. I love your ideas!! And the monkey idea was a good one....but....here is what I have decided on:

[M] moon
{P} Pumpkin
*V* Valentine
{Y} yarn
::Z:: zoo

If I have used any of your ideas you get a prize! Wanna know what it is?? You get to come and help me paint the nursery :) :) OR, you can come and talk to me while I paint! (not the kind of prize you want??)

Hope you are having a happy Saturday. We took the kids to the Art Museum and decided that we have exhausted that place and will start on the art galleries next....(until the renovations are done -Spring 2010!!!! 3 new courtyards, 54% more space- sky lit galleries). I told Dave we need to go to an art museum in each of the 50 states. Anyone have a good one to recommend?

Oh, cute. I bet it will look so cute! Can't wait to see the finished walls.
If I lived closer, I would definitely come hang out and talk while you painted...

Great choices!

Try The Gilcrease in Oklahoma. No, I don't live in OK, but it's one of the closest for us...

You are using three of my ideas so I will come watch you paint and keep you company!!! I guess that means you have to wait a few weeks to paint those three letters:)

Metropolitan Museum of Art in NYC -- I've loved it since the monsters on Sesame Street visited there back in the 80's. You could always borrow that movie from the library. ;)

This blog makes me happy. I just referred to it on MomsLikeMe.com in Nashville for the special needs adoption link. Thank you. If you're in our city, we have a Fifth Avenue of the Arts downtown nearby the old Art Deco post office renovated into the Frist Center for the Visual Arts. And, there's the old Maxwell House founder's mansion, Cheekwood. while I love the galleries on fifth, and the grounds especially of Cheekwood, Frist may give you the biggest bang for your buck if you choose just one. The Union Station Hotel is next door and it's a must see if even if you do not stay there. (I have and the rooms are too cool.) And, it is an old converted train station. Lots of cool things to do in our downtown. Another great is our Downtown Library. Lovely!

Love your choices for the nursery wall!

As for art museums...Cincinnati Ohio has a fantastic art museum. Here's a link http://www.cincinnatiartmuseum.org/

It has free admission, due to a very wealthy benifactor leaving a large sum of money with the stipulation of "free admission"!
