cake

Someone is turning 8 in our house today! Happy B-day to our third grader :) He wanted an M&M cake and had fun covering it all over.

It looks like it is shaping up to be a mosaic Birthday. Thanks GiGi for the mosaic magnets! He loves them!!!!

remembering cakes of parties past--the lolly-flowers were a favorite.

jello poke n' pour

Last years--he decorated it himself :)

The train cake was by far the most complicated and this is the best photo I got :(

Thanks for your concern and prayers for our little croupy girl. She is much better today and only woke a few times in the night but thankfully went straight back to sleep.

Ah, how sweet and adorable. Looks like you have a future cake baker on your hands, or artist, or designer, or....
That licorice cake was a cute idea.

OK, too funny that I was looking at your blog while you were commenting on mine!!
I love a good Jello Poke cake. My mom used to make them all the time. I'm going to have to make one, it's been along time.

I love that you son likes to decorate his own cake. Too cute!

MmmmmMmmmm!!! M&M's are a favorite around here, too. I have to hide them or they disappear!!

Happy Birthday to your sweet boy!!!! How does the time go by so fast. I would have been over if I had known about the M&M cake! Caleb would LOVE for me to do a train cake - I'll have to find out how you did that.
