To have such a large blank canvas! So fun! It took me a few weeks to get an idea- then it is the matter of taking the first stroke- you cannot have any fear! There were so many things that could have gone wrong- you don't know how many times I have had to start a new canvas at home because of a spelling mistake. But praise the Lord- there have been no spelling mistakes on the wall yet! Your mind does funny tricks on you too-- when I painted the big blue "J" on the wall I panicked and thought it was backwards.

Eventually the whole alphabet will be up there- please help me think of a good picture for "M". I do not want to paint a Mouse- (although Micky Mouse would be kinda cute). Each letter has a verse that starts with that letter.

Here are the ideas for the rest of the letters:
L- lolly pop
M-??
N- Nest
O- octopus, (or OBE as our 7 yr old suggested- "what's that?? An instrument!- Oh! The oboe?!)
P- pig, or pie?
Q- quilt
R- Rainbow
S- strawberry
T- tree
U- umbrella
V- violet???
W- watermelon
X- xylophone
Y- yellow?
Z- zebra, or zipper (I don't do well painting zebras)
Any ideas you have would be great! As you can tell, I like painting any kind of food or candy- bugs are good; any thing that would make a small child happy.

Monkey. That's my vote. You have done such a beautiful job. I have painted on walls before and it's taking that first stroke. I have only done my own walls - I would be so nervous to do other's walls, but you have done sooooooo well.

I love the ABC walls! Could you sometime post which verses you used for each letter? I'd love to know that. Everyone else made the same suggestions that I thought of, so I don't have any new ideas to add except that P could be pumpkin if you wanted.
The nursery looks wonderful, so happy & fun! I was also thinking M for monkey. I have monkeys on the brain, working on a monkey themed bathroom for my kids :D

Cute, cute. I love the fried eggs on the E. And all of the scriptures. You are an amazingly talented woman.
Good luck with the rest.

My first thought was---MONKEY!
Obviously, others had that same thought.
It would go with the other things you have painted, yes?
:)
Looking good, so far!!
How about "mushroom" for "M"? It could be very colorful like Alice in Wonderland. Just an idea, the other ones are great, too.

SO absolutely adorable- and M for monkey is my vote! And I also LOVE P for pie!
Love this idea! I have to say my first thought for M was an M & M. That was before I read all the comments and saw it was already suggested.
m = mittens
I would love to do the nurseries at our church, but not sure how to approach it yet.
Love everything you do.
Connie at thingswithwings
Can you come paint my whole house when you're finished? Those colors just make me happy!
Here are a few ideas for the alphabet:
M for Moon, Man, or Monkey.
P for Popcicle or Paint.
V??? that's a hard one ;) All I can think of is Volkswagon, and I don't think kids in a nursey will get that! haha!
Y for YoYo, maybe a Yellow YoYo!
What a great job. I think monkey would be good for m-it's probably been mentioned already. I always loved Curious George.
Ruth
Oh I love these! I had to show the whole family.
Whoa - ton of comments on this one. I thought monkey before I saw the rest, and it seems to be a popular suggestion. I do think it would be really cute.
And I love the nursery. What a bright cheerful place for the little ones. Beautiful!
Sara, you are so talented! I am not surprised that you could come up with something so wonderful but I am so inspired by your fearlessness (of course, it would help if I could paint as well as you). Did you use the Bible Memory Association Bible verses for each letter? I still have the book that I used with Becca, Hollie, and Kelly to memorize a verse for each letter of the alphabet. We are starting to use it with Henry! Love you lots!
