wisdom for today

Dave & I have always loved this quote from T. Roosevelt. That eliminates any comparing your self to others doesn't it? Use what YOU have (what God has given you).

What is your favorite inspirational quote or verse?

Yay...first one to comment. Sara...you should seriously license your work. It's so happy & cheerful. You have an impeccable sense of design and color! Have a great day.

Love that Roosevelt quote, but of course your painting just brings them more to life. My favorite saying is, "Live your best life." To me is says to much in just those few words.

I love these! When I see YOUR artwork I want to create! I am not sure about my favorite quote. I don't even know if this is a quote but I always tell my kids and students, "You have the power to choose--choose well!"

Love your things!! I have several quotes that I think about depending on the situation - Love "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me" - also, I like "This too shall pass".

i love the way you've done both of these quotes....and i totally agree with Gina! it's hard to choose my favorite verse (i have so many!), but i always go back to Philippians 4:13 "I can do all things through Jesus Christ who strengthens me."

A.W. Tozer- When you stand before God on judgement day, you won't be judged by what you did on earth. Rather, you will be judged according to all you DIDN'T do (opportunities not taken to witness, to serve, to pray).

George Mueller-If we indeed desire our faith to be strengthened, we should not shrink from opportunities where our faith may be tried, and therefore, through the trial be strengthened.

Gandhi- Be the change you wish to see in the world.

I wake up every day and ask God to help me live these!!!

Christianity, if false, is of no importance, and if true, of infinite importance. The only thing it cannot be is moderately important.

...and pretty much every other CS Lewis quote. Wow. There are just too many "favorite quotes" to count.

Love both of your paintings!!!

I really like "If you think you can or you think you can't either way you'll be right."

These painting are great. I love the quote. I can't think of one of my favorites off the top of my head. I have thought about starting a notebook to write down quotes and Scriptures that I like. I should do that soon.

These are so awesome!! I've always loved that 2nd quote as well. And on another note, I get so many compliments on the 2 prints you made! I have one in the dining and one in the living room.

I love any quotes by Dr. Bob, Sr., of course, but that Roosevelt quote has always been one of my favorites...which is why I bought your print of it, and it hangs on my wall!
