the egg & some fun links

I am still asking myself if it was worth having the balloons hanging here for a week....not sure. But the kids really enjoyed working on it. We would glue on a bunch of paper and leave it for awhile- come back and do more - let dry....glue on some colorful tissue paper squares....let dry. Pop the balloon, cut hole, glue crumpled tissue around the hole....add a ribbon on top.....fill with stuff.....

Thanks to Kari & Kijsa for the post!

Does anyone else laugh until they cry when they watch this? (I guess I just miss that drama of election time...?)

Oh yum! I am making this very soon! Thanks for sharing, Meg.

How cute is this!?!? Custom clocks? I really want to try my hand at that.

Draw on a lampshade with a Sharpie?? How fun!

Have you heard about Cake Balls??? They look soooo good.

Yes! The eggs were worth the effort! I have 26 in varrious stages in my classroom and seeing yours completed was just the motivation I needed today! They look awesome! What a cool idea to add the Peeps too. So much easier than what I had planned.

Sara!
YES, it was worth it to have that balloon egg hanging in your kitchen for a week! (I can say that because they weren't in my kitchen ;)) Anyways, it turned out DARLING. Seriously....:)

I think that if your kids enjoyed it and it made a fun family memory for them, it was worth it! ;) Even though I can imagine that it was annoying to have those giant eggs hanging over your counter for a week! Ha!

Congratulations on being featured on Kari & Kijsa's site! Fun!

Hi there, I'm not exactly sure how I found your site, I think it was through The Crafty Crow, but I wanted to let you know that I linked over here as well. My daughter and I had fun making the balloon eggs and we can't wait to finish them today, just in time for Easter. Love all your painted canvases too! God's blessings!

Hi there! Just found this post via Crafty Crow. I'm an editor at FamilyFun and I worked on that paper egg diorama project (and the fake fish sticks!). Your versions are lovely, as are your photos -- I love the one with the egg perched on the pink column.
I Twittered a link to this post, I hope you don't mind! (My Twitter account name is deborahway, if you're on it.)
Thanks for reading FamilyFun!
