would you believe; color? And a Q for you

Going along with the idea that eventually every single thing in our house will soon be black or patches of color, I pulled this old bulletin board out of the yard sale pile and painted the sides black. Then I taped on a bunch of ideas cut out of ME Home Companion mags. This will be really handy since I paint in this little corner and will be able to see the inspiration board.

This tray had no black on it at all- so a quick coat of paint to the sides remedied that - and now it fits in with the kitchen much better (more inspiration via the magazine scraps taped to the tray)

Typical scene at the table. Notice the doll is having her snack.

These are the little babyGap shoes that I got years ago- they finally fit our little girl.

Love the button bottles!!! Good job, Lydia!

Here is my question: what is your favorite verse? What would you like to see on a print? I am thinking of doing some new prints in muted colors.

I personally love Proverbs 16:9. It is so true and full of hope, even in the craziest of life situations. Muted designs would be great, but I'd also love to see some more red or black or lime green! Your work is always so fun to look at, as is your home! Keep that color coming!

My favorite verse of all time is Psalm 48:14... kinda was the theme for our wedding. I prefer the King James/New King James wording, but there's other great ones too!

I like your designs a lot verses an object. Although anything you paint seems to turn out really awesome!

Whatsoever things are true,
Whatsoever things are honest,
Whatsoever things are just,
Whatsoever things are pure,
Whatsoever things are lovely,
Whatsoever things are of good report,
if there be any virtue,
and if there be any praise,
think on these things.
Philippians 4:8

Sara, thanks for my daily dose of color. Such beautiful things all over your house. I don't know what my favorite verse is, but these days Phil. 4:7 speaks to my heart.

I will lie and sleep in peace, oh lord, for you alone make me dwell in safety.

Said it A LOT when I could not sleep because bad things were going on in my life. Still use it when I need help.

Would be cute for something beside your bed at night =)

I love these two.....
1. "Even when I am sturdy I pray you'll keep my knees dirty." Watermark

2. "Your strong love for each other will prove to the world that you are my disciples" John 13:35

I see a patchwork world and fun colors with Sara touches!!!

Thy Word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path. I memorized it KJV, because it just sounds so lovely.
Love your buttons. And those cute boots. And every picture, as always!!

Here's a favorite for my boys:
I Corinthians 16:13-14

Be on the alert, stand firm in the faith, act like men, be strong,
Let all that you do be done in love.

Check it out in The Message too (less gender specific). It's a great charge for all of us.

just catching up on your blog. I LOVE coming here for my "color therapy"! have you ever read any books by susan sargent? check her out, if not.

I have a great verse for you, it contains my "word" of the year that I'm working hard on keeping: calm!
so the verse is:
For thus said the Lord GOD, the Holy One of Israel: By waiting and by calm you shall be saved, in quiet and in trust your strength lies. ~Isaiah 30:15

soooo good.

thanks for sharing your projects and your craft! I love it!
