Mr. Snowman Says Hi

The kids were happy to see that the snow stuck around for another day. And I am reminded how it was growing up and getting all bundled up to go to school everyday. Thanks, Mom, for the patience to zip all of those zippers and put the scarves and hats and mittens and socks and boots on us over the years....I don't think I am as patient as you....

(not to mention all of the wet hats and scarves and mittens and boots and socks and pants that get dropped on the floor.....:)

Hi Mr. Snowman...
Wish we could come play in the snow with you! Cuz I don't think it'll be snowing here at 70 degrees. :(

Sara-
I forgot to ask...
When are you going to put the clothespins and button rings in your shop???

***hurry, hurry!!***

I don't know where you grew up, but in Rochester, NY those hats, scarves and mittens were in full service from late Oct. till early April! And, the baggies! The bread bags that helped us fit our shoes into our boots! I often think not only of my mother, but also our teachers who took us out to play in the snow almost daily! Whew! Makes me thankful to live in LA even if I am missing wool sweaters big time now!

I give up on my floors during winter. They are usually damp with streaks of dirt and rock salt. When dry the rock salt leaves lovely white streaks.

Can't complain though...I used to live in Maine and it was winter until July 4th.

Enjoy the snow.

I always hated winter when I worked at the daycare......10-15 little ones to bundle up. Ugg.

And you beat me to a snowman post--I have a cute picture of ours. But now it has been 65 outside, so I didn't feel like looking at snow pictures. (Besides, your snowman is much more handsome than mine.....) :-)
