Happy Friday

Home-made scrapbook/decoupage paper. Fun, fun, very relaxing. I was using a spatula for most of this and what a stress reliever to just swipe that thing around with the paint. It felt like art class in grade school.

I am having SO much fun reading your comments and favorite colors. It is hard to have to wait for Monday to draw a name. Great to meet the new commenters!

Here is a link to something I read today, thought you might be interested. You know how I talk all the time about how getting up early has changed my life? Well this is an article about that subject. But 5am???? I think I will try for 6am again since it has slipped to 6:30. Although, think about all the Bible study you could get done plus other stuff if you got up at 5am.

I read the comments about getting up early and was surprised that she has not learned that a warm three minute shower raises the body temp and wakes you up. It really does work, but I don't intend to prove it tomorrow morning!

LOVE your new paper. :)
And I really enjoyed reading that IS true for me. When I get up at least 2 hours before the kids I am sooooooo much more gentle and patient than if I had slept in. And yes, unfortunately, quiet time IS the first thing to go. SO ashamed!!!!!!

I don't know, Sara, 5 am is awfully early! I like the concept, but not the idea of turning into a pumpkin at 9 pm...I'd never see my older teens (my mom calls them the vampire generation)
Your paper is cute!

YES!!!! I've read that.... I was just talking to Mark about it too. I'm not sure I can do it either. We'll keep on plugging away, right?

I don't wake up till midday. I may be outta bed, but that doesn't mean I'm up. Love your paper. You're so creative. If I attempted this, it would look like my dog made it.

Awesome designs. Now, what I would do (my unsolicited advice) would be to add a layer of modpodge now and stack them between wax paper. This will keep them nice. That's what my mother-in-law taught me to do.
Must start getting up early--I soooo want to take your advice.

I left you an award. Stop by the domestic fringe to pick it up.

I LOVE your blog! I can't remember how I got here, but I've added you to the top of my favorites! I love all the COLOR. You've inspired me to add some to my house. I'm thinking some orange in the kitchen! I ordered a couple of the pictures in your etsy shop and just framed one of them for the kitchen!
I love how you add so much COLOR! I can't wait to see the pillows completed!

I am glad you posted about the 5 a.m. club. I checked it out. I think it's a good idea. I'm percolating on it presently.

One of my favorite color combos is orange and robin's egg blue . . . hence my wedding colors.

I also like black and cream.

Also, last week I posted about now being in a quandry about making my guest room green and pink or bright colors and bright colors won! I have been working on it this week and while I would still like to continue working on it, I am uploading pics right now for a post about it. Thanks for the inspiration!

Do you happen to know off the top of your head which of your posts had the paper circles on the red yarn/string? I saw it and liked it and haven't found it again. Thanks! Kelly

Since I got pregnant, I've let the 5 am club go, but THIS MORNING, the Lord graciously helped me to hop right out of bed BEFORE 6! This is the earliest I've gotten up in months and I'm SO HAPPY! I feel like my old self again. I remember how depressing it was to live all of my life AT work and AFTER work. There is morning to be had! I'll think of you tomorrow morning and say a prayer that you can get up earlier and have a profitable day. That is, if I make it myself. :)
