Beauty....

When I saw that the Nester was hosting a little party where everyone posts pictures of things that do not have to be perfect to be beautiful, I knew I had to participate. I love things that are not perfect. I love torn & frayed fabric curtains, I love globs of paint, I love colorful messes! So here are some pictures that I though fit the idea....

Kid art is the perfect example. The process is more important! And to see the little faces when you say,"that is just gorgeous!"

Why spend $ on curtains? Just tear some old fabric and clip it to a line :)

OK, so this is not very beautiful....but if you look at it from the viewpoint of colors...instead of the job that still needs to be done...

I would rather have this on my wall...

This picture is beautiful to me in so many ways. It reminds me of the Christmas that we were all together. Having fun, enjoying family. Not worrying about the mess on the floor. It always cracks us up when there are 2 or 3 or more laptops going at once- we are nerds and not ashamed! I love how Gigi is learning things on the computer!

a messy palette- pure beauty!!! I could add a bunch more of those :)

Look how talented you and your artsy fartsy self are! I love your beautiful messes and you really have the eye of an artist! Will you be my mommy because growing up in your house looks FUN!

The laptops lined up on the sofa is EXACTLY what our get togethers look like too! We'll have 3 generations using them at one time! So glad to see how normal we are!

Jinkies! Now those are some imperfectly beautiful photos! I love that you can see the beauty in a sink full of dishes! I can see it in your sink but if it were mine I would probably miss it completely!

And you're right..The kids art is probably one of the most imperfectly beautiful things of all.

I think I love your house! All that color inspires me. We're in a very hum-drum, builder painted home.

Frame a big mess with some black and white checks and it instantly becomes beautiful. I adore your sidebar on your blog. Nancy

Gotta look over your photos here on the side. I too am nuts for color! I also love that my stuff is mostly scavenged so I don't feel bad about painting over it!

You are so crafty! Your house looks like a lot of fun! Wish I wasn't so "stuffy" about messes! It sounds like you just let your kids create whatever they want and not stress about the mess. I want to be you!!!! Love the pic of the laptops too! Thanks for stopping by!
