The Planets

Earth, can't you tell?!

1. Color a coffee filter

(there it is...the trusty Twister mat)

Spray the filter
Let it dry- voila- your very own planet.

Coffee filters also work well for making butterflies. Same idea with coloring the filter and then using a spray bottle, but after it dries you "stuff" it into an "old style" clothes pin (no spring). I've done this with my kids at school and they loved it. With the butterflies the more color the better though! Looks like you guys had a lot of fun.

What a fun idea! I'm sure my boys would like that!

Where's the non-planet, Pluto? Grrr...doesn't it make schooling hard when a planet decides to turn into a comet?

I love this idea (because it looks like some thing I can handle). It's supposed to rain all weekend, we'll have to give it a try.
