We Had Our Portraits "Done"

Our 6 year old drew a lovely picture of us- the fam. Here we are in our glory. All I can say is that it looks like Mommy needs to lose a few ! (so here I am writing from the treadmill...I have been SO bad and not walked for 5 days). I like how we are all raising our hands in victory....oh and that Dave and I get to hold hands :)

I seriously doubt either of your boys find you fat!
What I find funny is that he drew himself tall like he did his Dad! Wonder why his little brother doesn't have long legs as well?

Honestly, they say you can tell a lot about what a child is thinking from their drawings! (Don't you appreciate that advice from a girl without kids?!?!?!!) So it seems to me that he knows that you and Dave love each other--I love the 3 hearts;) And I also love how he drew great big smiles on all of your faces;)

too cute;) I wouldn't be too worried about the proportions of the artist. . .you were looking mighty skinny at the conference;)

Don't you just love seeing the way your children envision you?!?! They always have the sweetest perspectives.

Looks like you may have quite a little artist on your hands!

At least he drew mommy with a happy face! I usually look like a snaggle-toothed, three-eyed, scary-haired, kid-eating monster! It is a crushing blow this mommy...especially when daddy always has his "stick up hair" and a smile! Love their "honesty" and perspective.

Your as big as a house! Just kidding. It's a great drawing. It's been a long time since I took an art therapy class, but I'd say that this was drawn by a little boy is is very happy and well loved. I actually think that the size of people represents their perceived importance. Drwaing yo ubig says you are important an drawing himself big shows that he has healthy self esteem and self worth.
